Split Chain Bio
Split Chain is the name on a lot of lips right now, both in their UK homeland and abroad. The band’s international growth across a series of six self-released singles has been truly organic, the quintet crafting their vision into a curated aesthetic with a hands-on approach, everything from artwork design to video direction and editing handled ‘in-house’.
Formed just over a year ago, Bristol quintet Split Chain have rapidly ascended as ‘ones to watch’ from the UK’s thriving alternative scene. Since the release of debut single ‘Get Inside’ in April 2023, Split Chain have unveiled a series of self-released musical missives, each showcasing an aspect of the band’s densely layered, dynamic sound. From the grungy dreamo of ‘Future’ (which recently surpassed 1 million streams) to the nu-metal tinged groove attack of ‘Extract’, Split Chain’s curated aesthetics and artful sonics have rightfully captured attention.
Most recent single ‘Descend’ was debuted on BBC Radio 1, and the band celebrated its release on a sold-out UK tour supporting Superheaven. And with shows supporting Static Dress, Fiddlehead, Mouth Culture and blanket already under their belts, Split Chain are now poised for a flurried summer of live activity, including a UK & Germany run in June/July supporting GEL, and marquee festival appearances at Outbreak (Manchester), 2000 Trees (Cheltenham), Burn It Down (Truro), No Play (Liverpool), and more to be announced.
