Adult Mom Bio
Originating as the solo project of Stevie Knipe at Purchase College, Adult Mom now falls between the playful spectrum of solo project and collaborative band with beloved friends and musicians Olivia Battell, Allegra Eidinger and Lily Mastrodimos. Through clever and intimate indie-pop songs, they offer a glimpse into the journey of a gender-weird queer navigating through heartache, trauma and subsequent growth.
Since forming in 2012, Adult Mom has released five EPs and three full-length albums; Momentary Lapse of Happily (2015), Soft Spots (2017), and the critically acclaimed Driver (2021). Expressed in a 4-star review by Rolling Stone, “Driver is the work of an artist entering the springtime of their brilliance, as good as singer-songwriter indie-rock can get. It’s the kind of record you can’t but feel lucky to live in.”
