Utterpunk.com gives the Punk-O-Rama DVD a 9/10

I have always been a fan of the low-priced Punk-O-Rama comps, I mean 20+ songs from punk rock's premier label for $5, a broke punker's dream. Now the latest POR release isn't a CD, but a 26 song DVD with your favorite punk songs. The best part of this video is that you get to see your favorite punk bands come to life, but you also need to keep in mind that Epitaph might be a big independent label, but it is still not big enough to produce flashy videos for the likes of J-Lo. With that in mind, I'll give you a quick break down of some of the more notable videos and the best and worst (not that there were really any "really" bad videos) parts: 1) Rancid-All of their videos: Rancid isn't very creative with there videos, it's usually just them lip singing with clips of punks standing on sidewalks, but the songs still rock 2) Refused- New Noise: A crazy video with freaky animal costumes and zombies attacking the band, great video and song 3) Bad Religion-American Jesus: Great song, very, very controversial video 4) Offspring- Come Out and Play: I'm sure you all have seen this video on MTV before, and whether you admit it or not, you like it 7) Pennywise- Same Old Story: One of the greatest punk songs ever played to a kid skateboarding through the city- very cool 8) Millencolin- Kemp: Cool virtual reality special effects with punk rocking robots, Epitaph went all out with this one 9) T(I)NC- Up For Sale: Awesome video that combines Waco, TX and a rave, the typical controversial stuff T(I)NC loves 10) Guttermouth- She's Got the Look: Lot's of T&A, like a rap video, but with white girls Plus many more videos by The Descendants, Bouncing Souls, Hot Water Music, Bad Religion, Pennywise, NOFX, and other Epitaph favorites. Like all the other Punk-O-Rama comps, this one is priced well, only 15 bucks for 26 great videos. I give this DVD a 9 out of 10, a definite must for every punk's collection.
