Produced and mixed by Will Yip (Title Fight, Quicksand, Pianos Become the Teeth), “The Freaks” is a dreamy midtempo track driven The Menzingers’ bittersweet melodies and full-hearted vocals. In the accompanying video, director Adam Peditto captures a freaks-only Halloween party, attended by devils and bumblebees, aliens and handmaids, vampires and wigged dogs. “The Freaks” video also includes a variation of spin-the-bottle, in which a spun dagger determines the kiss recipient.
This Thursday in Tampa, The Menzingers will embark on a national headlining tour. With the band also playing THE FEST in Gainesville on Friday, the tour features Tiny Moving Parts and Daddy Issues as support.

The band made their Epitaph debut with 2012’s On The Impossible Past, which was voted Album of the Year by Absolute Punk and Punk News. Arriving in 2014, their fourth album Rented World was praised as “packed with clever songwriting” by The New York Times and “a colossal fist-pumper” by Stereogum. In February 2017, The Menzingers released their fifth and most recent album After the Party, hailed by Pop Matters as “a superlative set of authentic punk songs that stand as their finest achievement to date.”
