The Frights New Album 'Hypochondriac' Out Now
The Frights new album Hypochondriac is available today at indie retailers and all streaming services. Hypochondriac was produced by FIDLAR frontman Zac Carper. This is the band’s third full-length album and the follow up to 2013’s You Are Going To Hate This.

Hypochondriac was mixed by Rob Kinelski (Ed Sheeran, Billie Eilish, Thirty Seconds To Mars) and mastered by multiple-Grammy Award-winner Greg Calbi (Arcade Fire, Tame Impala, The War on Drugs). Throughout the album, The Frights build a brilliant tension between their shiny hooks and painful lyrics, their goofball spirit and melancholy outlook. In the end, the album unfolds as their most emotionally honest work so far.
Tonight to celebrate the release of Hypochondriac, The Frights will play a hometown show at The Observatory North Park. They kick off their massive Hypochondriac North American tour with a sold out show on September 8 at The Observatory in Santa Ana, California and finish on October 18 at Crescent Ballroom in Phoenix. Label mates Hunny join the tour as support. The Frights will also play Riot Fest Chicago on September 14 and 15. Tickets for all dates are on sale now at TheFrights.com.

A couple of months after graduating from high school, Mikey Carnevale and bassist Richard Dotson got together as The Frights to play a one-off, 30-minute set as sort of a joke. The feeling they got from the crowd in their hometown of San Diego inspired them to become a “real” band, almost in spite of themselves. Along the way, they recruited Marc Finn (drums) and released You Are Going To Hate This (also produced by Zac Carper) in February 2016. Jordan Clark (guitar) added to the band's musical prowess in the ensuing year of touring around North America. Having recently made their highly successful UK debut with headline shows in London and appearances at The Great Escape and Dot To Dot, The Frights can’t wait to play their new material on the Hypochondriac North American tour this fall.
