Soul Glo Share NPR Tiny Desk Session
Noisy and in your face, Soul Glo and NPR Music have combined forces to create what is surely the only NPR Tiny Desk Concert with a mosh pit. A cacophonous four song performance, watch it at the link below.
Soul Glo x NPR Tiny Desk
Almost two years since releasing their breakthrough record Diaspora Problems (2022, Epitaph), the Philly based experimental hardcore band took a road trip to D.C. to record live renditions of “Jump! (Or Get Jumped!!!) (by the future)”, “Driponomics”, and “Gold Chain Punk (whogonbeatmyass)” from the album. They also perform their latest single “If I Speak (Shut The Fuck Up)” which has been nominated for two Libera Awards. Undeniably one of Tiny Desk’s most raucous sessions to date, this performance will showcase these songs in their most raw and powerful form.
Since the release of Diaspora Problems, Soul Glo has toured across the word with runs in Europe, the UK and Japan, to gracing the lineups of festivals such as Coachella and Pitchfork Fest, SXSW, Primavera Sound and more. Featured on lineups with bands like Zulu, Jesus Piece and MSPAINT, Soul Glo will be supporting their Epitaph labelmates and fellow Philadelphia natives Mannequin Pussy on a massive North American run starting April 4th and ending May 23rd.

Soul Glo confront the personal and the political with equal fury as vocalist Pierce Jordan howls about the inequities of the culture around him while offering a look at the conflict inside his head and heart. Fusing hip-hop, hardcore and punk, the Philly outfit are fearless in their approach and even more ruthless in their delivery, injecting their colorful narratives into predominantly white spaces. Fueled by the overwhelming response to Diaspora Problems, the band was propelled from respected underground status to landing top spots on the Best Albums of 2022 lists via Pitchfork, New York Times, NPR, Stereogum, and more, with Consequence and Rolling Stone both crowning it #1 out of the year’s metal releases.
