New Found Glory To Appear On Guitar Center Sessions
Beloved melodic punk band New Found Glory will appear on the award-winning music series Guitar Center Sessions this Saturday, December 10th. The show features exclusive performances and enlightening conversations with artists conducted by renowned music director and KCRW disc jockey Nic Harcourt.
During the episode, NFG members Jordan Pundik, Chad Gilbert and Steve Klein talk to Harcourt about the punk roots of the band, signing to a major label as teenagers, how producers like Neal Avron and Mark Hoppus (Blink-182) bring the best out of them and why their current home at Epitaph-Records is "about family and building the band."
"Not a lot of bands can say that they've had a successful career for fourteen years," says Harcourt. "But thanks to a dedicated DIY spirit engrained in them since their teens, New Found Glory can. Their journey has taken them from the suburbs of Florida and self-released records to major labels to a return to punk rock roots with Epitaph. That's the type of incredible musical journey we want to dig into on Guitar Center Sessions."
During the episode, the band tears through a high-energy set that includes "Radiosurgery," "Anthem for the Unwanted," "Listen To Your Friends," "Hit or Miss," "Understatement" and "My Friends Over You."
New Found Glory on The Guitar Center Sessions premieres Saturday, December 10th at 9pm ET/PT in 2D hi-definition on DIRECTV'S Audience Network (channel 239) and in 3D on DIRECTV'S n3Dâ„¢ powered by Panasonic.
New Found Glory is also slated to appear at this year's annual "Acoustic Christmas" hosted by Southern California radio powerhouse KROQ. The star packed event will occur December 10th at the Gibson Amphitheater in Los Angeles and feature additional performances by legendary rock and rollers Social Distortion, Blink 182, Incubus and many more.
