Matchbook Romance to headline 2006 Take Action Tour!

It is confirmed. Matchbook Romance will headline the entire 2006 Take Action! Tour. The annual tour, put on by Sub City Records, will begin March 1st in Baltimore, MD and cover the entire United States. Other bands joining Matchbook Romance on the tour are Silverstein, Emery and Amber Pacific.

The Take Action! Tour and the annual compilation CD aim to raise money and awareness for teen suicide prevention by directly benefiting the Kristen Brooks Hopecenter--founders of the Youth America Hotline! (YAH!). Since 2001 Sub City Records has raised nearly $230,000 to benefit teen suicide prevention.

Matchbook Romance and their label, Epitaph, have shown a strong commitment to supporting the Kristin Brooks Hopecenter and the Youth America Hotline. Sub City Records is looking forward to a tour that will make a meaningful impact in the lives of many young people.

The Youth America Hotline! (Yah!) was founded by the Kristen Brooks Hopecenter to help teens through peer-to-peer counseling, pairing teens in need with qualified teen counselors.

Since 1999 Sub City Records (Part of Hopeless Records) has raised over $600,000 for various charities chosen by the label and their artists.
