Hot Water Music's "Caution" gets another blazing review!

Hot Water Music - Caution ****
Epitaph - 2002 - 36 minutes

No sooner does Dave Grohl release a record that puts the Foo Fighters way ahead of the competition than along comes a band to have him looking over his shoulder.

Floridians Hot Water Music are no overnight sensations though, they've been slogging away at it for eight years and five albums, with 'Caution' the best - to date. The dual riffs and vocals of Chuck Ragan and Chris Wollard might make people think of Fugazi but HWM's sound is both harder edged and more singalong.

All the tracks here sound bigger than the punk rock scene they grew from and each one brimming with the idea that it's only a matter of time until this quartet gets to where it should be. The only warning you have to heed about this album is not to miss it.
