Epitaph signs Escape the Fate!

(Epitaph, Los Angeles, CA) Epitaph is extremely proud to announce the signing of the gifted post-hardcore group ESCAPE THE FATE! The band is currently tracking in the studio with Michael "Elvis" Baskette (Chevelle, Puddle of Mudd, Iggy Pop, Saliva) for an EP due out in summer 2006, as well as a full-length due out later in the year.

Hailing from Las Vegas, NV, this aggressive five-piece band has garnered quite a reputation for their explosive live shows and uncompromising music. In a very short time, ESCAPE THE FATE have reached a level of success that has seen them draw crowds of several thousand fans on multiple occasions.

The highlight of the young band’s career came when they entered a song into a contest centered around a My Chemical Romance concert promoted by X107.5 (the local Infinity alt-rock station). Hopeful bands were to submit one song, and the winner would be hand-picked by the band. ESCAPE THE FATE was chosen as the winner and subsequently shared the stage with My Chemical Romance, Alkaline Trio, and Reggie and the Full Effect – in front of a crowd of several thousand people.

Drawing their influences from a huge cross-section of bands, such as Underoath, Atreyu, As I Lay Dying, Metallica, Guns ‘N’ Roses, Thrice, Avenged Sevenfold, From First To Last and many more, truly labeling this band is next to impossible. Their unique style of music features an all-encompassing sound that is distilled down to one thing: pure energy!
