Culture Abuse Premiere "Bee Kind To The Bugs"
Today the Bay Area-bred band Culture Abuse share their new single “Bee Kind to the Bugs.” The track is from their sophomore album Bay Dream, which is due out on June 15.
With its dreamy melody and psych-rock guitar textures, “Bee Kind to the Bugs” is a shining example of Culture Abuse’s idiosyncratic but immediately catchy garage-punk. Like much of Bay Dream, the impeccably crafted track is full of personal and universal lessons delivered with unassuming sweetness (“Be kind to yourself/Even though it gets hard/Don’t let the distractions/Stack up to the stars”).

“Bee Kind to the Bugs” follows Culture Abuse’s recently released single “Calm E,” which Stereogum hailed as “an excellent reintroduction to the band’s particular brand fuzzed-out melodicism.”
Produced, engineered, and mixed by Carlos de la Garza (Wolf Alice, Jimmy Eat World, YACHT), Bay Dream is Culture Abuse’s first full-length release for Epitaph. It arrives on the heels of their 2016 debut Peach, an album that “offers up heavy, emotional punk rock anthems that lead to redemption,” according to Sputnikmusic.
Having just completed a tour with Turnstile and Touché Amoré, Culture Abuse are heading to the UK/Europe in June. Check out their tour dates below.
