Bad Suns Share Dazzling Cover Of “Lovefool” By The Cardigans

Today, California indie-pop darlings Bad Suns unveil their version of “Lovefool” by The Cardigans. Leaving their mark on the 1996 classic with psychedelic production flourishes and funky guitar work, the band’s upbeat energy and playful contemplation is a perfect match for the deceptively happy song.

Frontman Christo Bowman explains how it all came together: “A few summers back, I was checking out at the grocery store when over the radio came the song “Lovefool” - a song I’ve loved practically all my life. I made a voice memo to myself that we should cover it so I didn’t forget. The cashier overheard me, looked at me and said, “That’s a really good idea”. The rest is history. We took it out on the road, started playing it on tour at shows and had so much fun with it. The next thing I knew, we were in the recording studio making our own version which we hope you enjoy.”

Recently named a favorite of Billie Eilish and Finneas in a Spotify interview, the latter divulged that Bad Suns polished, pop-rock sound was a major influence on him as a young musician. In a serendipitous turn of events, earlier this week the band announced they will be joining Finneas on a cross-country run of the US, kicking off in Nashville on Feb. 13th and wrapping up on March 5th in their hometown of Los Angeles.
